About climate change

Undeterred by the failure of their predictions so far and instead of learning from their mistakes, climate catastrophist crusaders continue to offer up the most unlikely scare stories ever told.

Even though it’s supposed to be heating the oceans, atmospheric CO2 level is rising, but not warming Earth’s surface.
How is that possible?

I was once an AGW (Now CAGW) believer, until I realised that 2.04 + 2.4 just didn’t make 4.5.

There is no empirical evidence that CO2 causes Glowbull warming.

“To reduce the earth’s temperature one degree with CO2 abatement would require an investment equivalent to 130 years GDP of the entire planet, or more than $4,000,000,000,000,000 (4 quadrillion dollars).” Peter Smith

Science is what got us to this level of civilisation, but no one wants to blame science for the problems they believe have been caused by this level of civilisation.

To quote Dr. Shermer: Skepticism is not a position; it’s a process.

If you don’t know what AGW is, you shouldn’t be here.

“Denialist” is a malignant tumour that grows only inside the minds of indoctrinated climate catastrophist crusaders.

“I’m not sure which is more arrogant, to say we caused (global warming) or that we can fix it.”

AGW proponents must all believe in homeopathy if they think an extra 120 ppm CO2 above pre-industrial level can affect planetary climate.

“The 1997 to ’98 El Niño event was a trigger for the changes in the Pacific, and I think that’s very probably the beginning of the hiatus,”  -Kevin Trenberth

“We have a vested interest in creating panic, because then money will flow to climate science.” John Christy

“The incredible list of supposed horrors that increasing carbon dioxide will bring the world is pure belief disguised as science.” Will Happer

“If you could vote for a change in climate, you would always want a warmer one,” says Philip Stott, emeritus professor of biogeography at the University of London. “Cold is nearly always worse for everything – the economy, agriculture, disease, biodiversity.”

“The IPCC was an ill considered concept. They never allowed for failure.”

Anyone who has followed the Glowbull warming discussion for a few years will have noted that the positions of the goal posts are regularly being changed by climate catastrophists.
We were once being told about tipping points due shortly.
Most of those have expired, or couldn’t possibly happen in time.
Hansen’s “scenarios” A B & C, are all BS.
Most of the dire warnings have been pushed forward to a later date.
Even the IPCC now state that we have until 2100 to stop using fossil fuels.
Oceans may release the missing heat in a year or two, or a decade or two.
Nothing is happening “Faster than was expected.”
Nothing is “Worse than was expected.”

Instead of rushing forward blindly, shouting fire, when will the climate catastrophists admit they simply don’t know, as the sensible climatologists readily admit?

“Believe it or not, very little research has ever been funded to search for natural

mechanisms of warming…it has simply been assumed that global warming is

manmade. This assumption is rather easy for scientists since we do not have

enough accurate global data for a long enough period of time to see whether there

are natural warming mechanisms at work.”

It’s too late, catastrophists should pack and head for higher ground:

“Future generations will wonder in bemused amazement that the early 21st century’s developed world went into hysterical panic over a globally averaged temperature increase of a few tenths of a degree, and, on the basis of gross exaggerations of highly uncertain computer projections combined into implausible chains of inference, proceeded to contemplate a roll-back of the industrial age”

Thankfully, not many of us early 21st century humans “went into hysterical panic over a globally averaged temperature increase of a few tenths of a degree.”

  5. Earthling says:

It’s more than highly unlikely that anyone will ever notice the effects

of climate change in their lifetime.

Both the MWP and LIA lasted hundreds of years, during which time

about 40 generations of people lived and died, none of them noticing

any difference in long term weather patterns.

There are always, and have always been, and always will be, people around the globe who get upset that we and the world aren’t taking their environmental and other life concerns seriously enough.
It used to be atomic bomb (nuclear) tests drastically affecting world weather, and environment.
It’s a natural part of the human condition and its search for relevance and importance.
The Chicken Littles, for whom the sky will be forever falling.
Their place in the pecking order.
And they’re right, they are ignored. For good reason!
    Hence the worldwide green phenomena.
    Hence concerned environmentalists.
Hence inner city trendies, and other pains in the arse.
Hence those who need to feel more relevant and superior than their “nobody” status would indicate.
So hence where we are now with climate science/its denial/and whatever else seems important to fill up the time until you die.
And they’re coming to eat your children!
    So don’t delay!!!!

Had to post this, it’s too funny for words:

I wrote: “Climate change poses no direct threat to any one living human being, apart from maybe those of you who wish for it most.”

“Climate change poses no direct threat to any one living human being”
    Doesn’t it?
If we aren’t headed for complete polar meltdown and 75 meters of sea level rise, just with the CO₂ already in the air, why isn’t there a single previous example in Earth’s history of polar ice caps withstanding CO₂ so high?
Do you think submerging someone beneath 75 meters of water might pose a direct threat to their survival?
